The BOCW (Building and Other Construction Workers) program in India aims to improve the welfare of construction workers by providing them with social security benefits, including medical assistance, education for their children, and financial support in case of accidents or death. State governments are mandated to establish BOCW Welfare Boards to administer these benefits.

BOCW Act
Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India has enacted “The Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Services) Act, 1996” (Main Act) and the B.O.C.W.Cess Act, 1996 (Cess Act) to address the concerns regarding safety, health & welfare of larger number of workers employed in construction sector.
ISMW Act
The Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act, 1979 was an Act of the Parliament of India enacted to regulate the condition of service of inter-state labourers in Indian labour law. The Act's purpose was to protect workers whose services are requisitioned outside their native states in India.
